my boy is 12 and on a 1998 yz134. he is capable of big bike riding and is 5 foot 8, about 160 lbs, rides at a C class pace. was looking at new bikes for him since he is a great kid and deserves a nice ride. Was looking at the 2020 lineup of bikes and thought of the beta 200rr and Yamaha yz125x. Was looking for any insight on the bikes, if you had one and could give advice, etc. thanks in advance.
Both are outstanding bikes. Both with different strong points. But in simplest terms the 200RR has a lot more low end grunt and the YZ-x needs to be rev-ed more. I've owned my 300RR for 2 years and can say they are very high quality bikes with great dealer and parts support.
All the other differences can be tuned to the way the rider likes. So I'd consider the ride-ability of both.
For me the Beta is the easy choice.
Great, thanks for the insight.
when it comes to woods riding there is no replacement for DISPLACEMENT , because even the fastest racers get tired,,,bv
