I don't know if this is anything but there are lots of trails just north of Nashville in Millersville just off of Hwy 31w. I have a friend who said his son has ridden there often but one of the last times he did, he got a ticket from the Millersville Police for trespassing. I think there's a materials company working out of the property now, I believe it's name is IMI Tennessee, maybe like Vulcan Materials.

If ya go to google maps and type in Long Dr. in Millersville and hit the satellite feature you'll see what I'm talking about. Trails are visible.  Just thinking if we could find out who has the property maybe the club could work something out. Bob

It is actually an old rock quarry and the city of Millersville had  control of the property. A few years ago State Representative Courtney  Rogers, her husband and son ride and have been to trail rides at Loretta Lynn's, put me in touch with the city manager who I spoke with and was interested in turning it into an OHV park. Shortly after that meeting they changed city managers and the new manager was not interested in the idea.

It may be something worth looking into again but it probably would something that would have to be open to the public and not a "private" club area.

Hi from a new member, just following this conversation ... if there was any way this Millersville / Rock Quarry trail could be opened to dirt bikes / dual sports, this would be really interesting, and I would probably go a lot because it looks like it would be the closest option to East Nashville where I live.  Imagine being able to zip up 30 minutes from Nashville on a dual sport, trail ride for an hour or two, and then 30 minutes home ... this would be fantastic.  It looks like maybe a 1 x 2 square mile bit of woods, and  I guess you could fit a lot of trails in there.  I am new here, but if anyone wants to restart this effort, I would be a fan.  Not quite as good as Shelby Park, but close :)

I encourage you to contact the City Manager for the city of Millersville about this. I also caution you that if it is that small an area it has great potential to become a "Squirrel Pit". If you don't know what that is I will be glad to explain it to you.

Let me know who I need to contact.  I bet if we can get a State, County, or City Representative to help in the matter, we would have more likely of a chance!

This link probably provides everything you need to know to contact the city manager.
