The growing kid bike dilemna

Just putting out feelers...might get lucky, or may need to wait until my job situation & income returns to normal...meanwhile, my son has outgrown both of his bikes:

Current bikes to sell/trade (only trading for an ideal bike for him):

    • 2009 CRF80F "Like new" is no understatement

    • 2005 KTM SX50 Pro Senior in "good" condition; he got 2-stroke fever from Carson and had to have one but outgrew it right way...he loves it, but it needs a smaller rider

    Looking to find:

    • Suitable for a 5' rider (beginner/intermediate)

    • Leaning toward good condition 85cc 2-stroke (likely Kawasaki, Yamaha or KTM - primarily due to most 75’s having a smaller wheelbase and fewer Rekluse options).

The present logic is to tame it down with a Rekluse, and tune/lower suspension 1" - 2" for weight/height, for trails/woods, allowing him to grow into a 2-stroke that can grow with him for a short time.  He is not ready for the power of an 85cc 2-stroke, especially from a trail riding perspective, but the Rekluse will help the stall factor without giving up the “grin factor” of the 2-stroke.

Hoping maybe someone out here may be outgrowing the bike that my son may want.
